Everything you need to know about party sessions at ZAPT Laser Tag Cambridge

1. What to wear and bring

Overall, dress for the weather and for being active in the woods in gear you don’t mind getting dirty. We recommend long trousers and tops and closed toed shoes with decent grip.

Bring plenty of water – you can take water bottles into the game zone to drink from during new game briefings.

While a lot of the game zone is under tree cover, apply sun protection as you would for any outdoor activity you take part in.

2. Are sessions affected by the weather?

We still run our sessions in the rain and you will have just as much fun in the wet as in the dry. Our woodland location gives good cover from the rain and also the sun.

The only time we would cancel sessions is due to extremely high wind speeds. The park rangers at Milton Country Park, where we are based, monitor wind speeds based on the Met Office’s data and inform us with as much notice as possible if the park needs to close and so our sessions need to be cancelled.

3. Arrival

If you are travelling separately, please arrive at the entrance to the game zone at least 10 minutes before your session, taking into account paying for parking, going to the toilets, finding and walking to our location within Milton Country Park. We will check your waivers are completed, and check you in. Your safety briefing starts at the time on your booking.

If you are running late, we will do our best to get you into your group’s session with the minimum amount of playing time lost.

4. Parking

There are over 200 parking spaces at Milton Country Park which are pay and display. Free disabled parking bays are available for blue badge holders. Find out current parking rates – If you are staying for the duration of the laser tag session, you will need a minimum of 3 hours to cover your ZAPT session, and party food afterwards.

If drivers are dropping off players for a session and leaving, there is a 20 minute grace period where charges do not apply, starting from when they enter the car park. This 20 minute period applies again for when they return to pick their players up at the end of the session.

The what3words reference for the car park is ///locked.buzz.jabs

5. Toilets and when to use them

Public toilets are available at the entrance to the park and at the on-site café, Grounds. We would highly recommend that all of your group visits the toilets before playing to avoid having to take time out of their session to walk to the toilets.

6. Timings

The party lasts approximately 2 hours from the session start time, consisting of 15 minutes for the safety briefing, 60 minutes on the ZAPT game zone, and 30 minutes on the party tables after the session.

7. Staying to watch

As the parent/s of the party child are remaining on site, there is no obligation for parents of guests to stay on site during the session. However, you are very welcome to stay and watch the party group enjoying their laser tag session. The viewing area is outside and exposed to the elements, so please be prepared for the weather on the day.

8. Café and other activities are available at Milton Country Park

There is a great café in the park, called Grounds, serving fantastic coffee, food and ice cream. This is a short distance from the ZAPT game zone. Milton Country Park has over 200 acres of woodland, park and recreation space, offering a range of other activities. one of the supervising adults looking after your group, there is lots of enjoy in the park so you can make a whole day of your trip to ZAPT Laser Tag.
