Welcoming Spectrum to ZAPT

We recently welcomed our friends from Spectrum to ZAPT, for the first time playing laser tag with us at Milton Country Park in Cambridge.

Spectrum is a multi-award-winning, parent-led children’s charity. They provide events and support for families of children with Autism, additional needs, learning difficulties, and disabilities. As an organisation, they are family-focused, advocates of collaboration, passionate about increasing inclusion and reducing isolation whilst supporting Special Education Needs & Disabilities (SEND).

Our sister companies, Clip ‘n Climb Cambridge and Climb Quest Milton Keynes, gift regular sessions to Spectrum for the families that they work with.  Beth and Chris Walthew, owners of both climbing centres and ZAPT Laser Tag, passionately believe in inclusion for all, trying new challenges as a group and individuals and promoting healthy lifestyle activities.

By working with Justin and Amy Heron, Founders of Spectrum, we are now able to welcome families to ZAPT Laser Tag as well, for one-off bespoke sessions. ZAPT is great for children and adults with SEND, as the pace of the games can be adapted to the needs of the players. We can also have carers on the arena to help support players, and adapt the games to ones that best suit the group.

If you would like to find out more about the work that Spectrum does with families of children with Autism, additional needs, learning difficulties, and disabilities, why not visit the Spectrum website.

Membership to Spectrum is free, and the events and trips that they put on are fantastic.
